Summary of Mark twain ----Mirror of America

Mark twain is considered as the nation’s best –loved author ,the father of Tom and Huck, in people’s eyes he is great writer with a personality of adventure ,patriotism, romanticism ,and humorousness. However, to the author he kept the point that Nark was the person who was cynical, acid for his tragic life, Besides ,he was upset with weakness of the human beings. He was born Samuel Langhorne Clemens and experienced a lot that he ranged across the nation for more than a third of his life. In his early years ,he spent his youth in working in the Mississippi River. As a little pilot he began to recognize the world of the day. Through contact all kinds of characters Mark began to recognize not only the human beings but the differences between people’s words and the behavior. Then with a tuning point come to him ,he left the steamboat and went to the Confederate guerrillas because of the railroads’ development .After having been a soldier there for 2 weeks ,he left them for their retreating. In the west area he infect at the gold and silver fever, but he was defeated by the reality and then got a job as a journalist. Then he left the territorial Enterprise and came to San Francisco. It was the cradle to many an ambitious young writer.

In 1864-1865, the Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County was published and he became famous. 2 years later the opportunity came for him to take a distinctly American look at the old world. He was assigned to accompany the tourist in a country’s development as a correspondent for  a California newspaper, and soon became well known .

At the age of 36 he  moved to Hartford, Conn. where he lived his most productive years (till 1891), during which he wrote Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. Besides these two children's classics, he wrote many other important works in his life, among which were Roughing it. He suggest that an  ingredient was missing in the American ambition. Personal tragedy haunted his entire life, bitterness fed on the man who made the world laugh, he also insist that man drop his religious illusions and depend upon himself to make a better life. The last of his own illusions seemed to have crumbled near the end ,on men’s final release from early struggle, he commented with despair that a world which lament them a day for-get them forever.

Being mature

A successful woman must be mature, both in physical and mental. Mature is a process that makes you from a little girl to a charming woman, may be there exists painfulness, however, every individual must be experienced it.   But how can we become mature? You can remember these follow tips that help you to control your life..

  Firstly, do not believe you can conquer the whole world as well as any excellent man by your appearance beauty. Do not consider that you can get everything that you want naturally, and you can be forgiven for your rudeness.  Actually, facing life by a realized attitude would be a correct way that can make you easy.  

        Secondly, keep proud in heart ,love yourself, especially after accept the face of not perfect of yourself, you still love yourself. Trying to keep confidence by heart can make you in a good mood.

        What’s more, do not believe the “forever”, just enjoy the present because nobody can step into the same river twice. The only unchanged thing in this world is change. Therefore, so-called forever is a word that isn’t existence. Enjoy the present happiness is wisdom. Please do not let tomorrow’s grieves reduced today’s happiness , yet do not let tomorrow’s happiness disturb your pace of today’s happiness.

Age 25-----independent year

In China, the whole independence of a girl is not in her 18 age but in her 25 age. This is a golden age, when the teenage period gradually far away from her and her soul is basically formed.  In a long run, the life after that age always have some relationship with the thought of that time. What is love, you must have something understand in mind. What is your need in your life, you must clear in your heart. What’s more, you must make sure that what you should do next ,you must become more firm than God.

      Please remember, firstly, you should rethink your time which have already past, analysis what you have gained and what you have lost, your lessons and regrets, weather your goal have been realized and so on. That will help you understand yourself deeply and encourage your in spirit.

      Secondly, you ’d better fall in love at least once ,and still believe the true love in the world. For most of people, there exist seldom success in their first love. They broke off in their young age mainly due to do not understand how to love others ,but the love in that time must be pure and true. Fall in love with one person and married him in properly time, that will be the most luck time in your life.

       Next, you should be owned enough capability to buy a relatively expensive thing which you profound very much instantly. Being independent is the premise of your happiness in the future life. After you have finished your academic time and step into society, you will have no right to take money from your parents. When you com across something that you profound you can buy it for yourself, as a encouragement or prize, which will be a origin of your confidence.

        As many people notice that, independence is not only an appearance in material, but also a kind of strong inner spirit in one’s heart. A independent girl will be charming everywhere.

Reading books is an effective way to acquire knowledge

 Nowadays, with the fast pace of development of the society, we are in the era of information. Acquiring large amount of knowledge appears more and more significant. However, there are too many ways to get numerous  knowledge, such as through experience, by reading books, surfing internet, communicating with people and so on. There are overwhelmingly majority of people consider that reading books is a significant method to acquire knowledge. In my perspective, reading books is no doubt an effective way to absorb knowledge as well as enlarge your  horizon.

      Firstly, acquiring knowledge though reading books can save you a lot of times. Generally speaking, when reading books, you can scan the page on a whole view as well as select the part which you interested in most. While scanning , you need not to read word by word , instead , you just view groups  of words  every time. In this way ,you not only save times to read more information, but also can get main points easily in a short time.

         Secondly, books are organized in system, and it can make people to get knowledge through a scientist way quickly. Almost every book has a content and it contains the main point and event in order .These arranged  order can make you have a clear outline of the book in your mind. And then you will absorb the knowledge easily.

          Last but not least, through reading books to get knowledge is relatively cheap and easy, comparing with acquiring knowledge through experience is more expensive and difficult. Therefore ,reading books is a beneficial way to get large information especially for young people.

           Above all, reading books can save people’s time to acquiring large amount of knowledge ,make people get information in a scientist way as well as it is cheap and easy .In my mind’s view, book is to human’s life what soul is to a person. Without reading books ,life is like a broken winged bird that can not fly; without reading books ,life is a barren field, frozen with snow.

Useful, Usable, and Used Information

There is no doubt that we possess much information in the life. All the information which we gain is useful. However, when it is apply to the certain situation, therefore, the information is usable for the situation. When it has been used by others, the information is the used information.

All the information that we gain in our daily life is useful, for it tells us a lot of things, and we will become more and more knowledgeable little by little. The information which we learn in school is useful in the life. We know how to figure out the complicated math question. Besides, we are familiar with our history. In addition, we have a basic knowledge about the chemistry and physics. What’s more, we could express ourselves clearly and fluently owing to learning Chinese in school. And we are able to appreciate music and arts in daily life because of being given knowledge in school. It is the information we learn from books that is significant in the life. The information which we gain from daily life also plays role in the life. When there was no weather report, farmers used to predict weather conditions by observing the shy in night. When we fail hundreds of times in the life, we do not give up, and at last we succeed. What we learn from the experience is that we could be successful finally if we try again and again. No matter where the information comes from, we could draw a conclusion that all the information we acquire is useful in life.

It is not exaggerated to say that our life is full of information. No matter what we are doing or we are saying, there is no denying that it contains a piece of information or even more. Not all information we possess is usable for the certain situation. Therefore, whether the information is usable is decided by whether it applies to the situation. Some of knowledge which we have learnt in school might be unusable in the practical situation. For example, a large number of poems we have learnt from books are not usable in the ordinary situation, for there is no necessity quoting the poems. What’s more, if the person who we are talking with does not have a good command of poems, the conversation will no long continue. There is another illustration which can prove that not all information is usable. Jokes are usable when a person is sorrowful for losing his or her loves. All in all, some information is unusable sometimes.

For most of us, the information we get is from others and it has been used by others. Therefore, we call it used information. Isaac Newton has used the law of gravitation to explain why the apple dropped onto the ground not the sky. As a result, the law of gravitation is a piece of used information. And there is too much used information to list in the life.

We are living the life full of different kinds of information. And it benefits us much in daily life.

Views on Chinese education

      As the China opening to the world as well as the development of our society, more and more people choose to applying university to accept education and even continue education after they graduate from high school. There are overwhelmingly majority of people have recognized that the significance of education and its connection of their direction of careers. In China, children begin to go to school at the age of seven, it takes them for six years to finish primary school. After primary school, the students will go to junior middle school without having to pass the exam. Education at this level is compulsory, junior middle school education lasts for three years. It will take 3 years for senior middle school students. Regarding college, senior middle school graduates have to pass competitive exam in order to enter college. The college education takes them for 4 years. And if they want to get further education, they will spend another 3-6 years for Bachelor degree and Master degree. Though we spent nearly 20 years to finish all the study. It is not necessary to achieve our desired results.

  

     But China's education still has its advantage. Such as, through China's education, students will get a solid foundation. This would be benefit for us to learn other more advanced things in the future.

     From above all of my view on Chinese education, I have a tendency that Chinese education is not so satisfactory for the majority of students , I hope that one day our education system will absorb the advantages of advanced education measures from foreign countries and  improved greatly.

you will understand gradually

Gradually,you will learn that you will easily hurt yourself when you care others too much;
Graduallly, you will learn that there are fewer and fewer people who keep close relationship with you as time flies;
Gradually ,you will learn that one shoud care himself ,due to there are rare people who really care about you, they might be absent when you have accident or need help. So you must care about yourself.
Gradually, you will learn that you might not get respond of the person who you really care about, instead ,the person who you always ignored might be the one who care about you the most .
Gradually, you will learn that there are too many things what you  meet just by chance ,and only can own them one time.
Gradually ,you will learn that sometimes when you fall in love you might not devote the whole heart ,may be the relationship lies in benifit in some degree ,or lies in comparing with otheres.
Gradually, you will learn that it is no use to debate with others   ,nomatter who is right or wrong, due to it will not has a result .
Gradually, you will learn that when you come across something that you not in mood, you should not desire of others showing sympathy to you,most of them will respond you with indifferance. Moreover, it will make them look down of you.
Gradually ,you will learn that there are too many things what not belong to you ,even if you impose  , you can not get them. And God will condemn you for donging that .
Gradually, you will learn that not all things that you have done have meaning, but you can feel that everything you have done will become a kind of memory to you.
Gradually ,you will learn that people's character  exist too many difference.
Gradually, you will learn that many people who you met before will have changed a lot that you even don't recognize, however, please keep the memory.
Gradually ,you will learn that from now on you should hold the  people who you can hold ,and give up people who you can not hold, you'd better not loose many people just in order to hold one person.
Gradually, you will learn that you should respect yousef, because your self-respect  might means nothing in other's heart.
